Stone Wool Cormo Alfalfa

C$38.00
With our first mill-spun yarn we’ve stayed true to our roots, using springy Cormo wool from a pair of ranches located in Wyoming and Montana, and tinkering with the spin to make sure we’re getting the most from this lovely fiber.

Spun in Wyoming from 100% American Cormo wool. Dyed in Maine.

They worked with their mill to create a special method of fiber preparation, one that marries woolen and worsted processes. The result is a unique yarn with woolen-spun's airy loft and worsted's strength. Springy, lofty, and with a substantial hand, Stone Wool Cormo offers crisp stitch definition and elegant texture in knitting.

The yarn blooms in the soak and can be knitted in a wide range of gauges for different fabrics. We recommend needles size US 6 - 7 for hard wearing knits, up to US 9 - 10 for knits with drape.

Because their wool is not harshly scoured, a small amount of VM may be present.

Over the coming months, we will be transitioning our Cormo from 100g skeins to 50g skeins. All 50g skeins will be labeled as such in the menu.
