Soon our warm summer days and longer summer evenings will fade and we will all feel some fresh crispness in the cooler fall days. We Knitters love the fall as it is the start of sweater weather!! We all have visions of warmly textured sweaters worn with our favourite jeans and boots . Autumnal colours , pumpkin spice lattes, warming fires.. crisp sunny days .. a favourite time of year . Designed by Marie Greene it’s an easy top down knit in the round construction featuring a simple textured motif . Knit with an aran weight yarn it knits up quickly and you will have a cozy pretty sweater to wear in the cooler days ahead.
In this class students will learn the basics of top down sweater construction , the use of increases for shaping , faux cable stitches using increases and decreases, v- neck construction, picking up stitches for ribbing and other basic sweater techniques. The importance of gauge and swatching will be discussed and implemented. It’s a fun easy and quicker knit .
