Crochet for the Home - Friday Mornings
Friday Morning 10am - 12pm
Class 1: April 26, May 3, 10, 17
Class 2: May 24, 31, June 7, 14
You know how to chain and single crochet, but now what? Enjoy putting the basics to work with six new stitch patterns. Each week, you’ll make swatches for two of the stitch patterns, and then move on to working on a full-sized project. Each pattern can be adapted to soft cotton washcloths, beautiful linen hand towels, colourful table coverings, or continue with the second offering of the class, and have enough blocks to make a blanket. This class requires a basic understanding of crochet stitches (chaining, single and double crochet), and an enthusiasm for thinking “outside the block”.
Class 1 will cover the following stitch patterns: Block stitch, puff stitch, granny stripe, waffle stitch, basketweave stitch, and spike stitch
Class 2 will cover the following stitch patterns: Wave stitch, bobble stitch, shell stitch, Catherine wheel stitch, cable stitch, and Apache Tears stitch
Each offering is a complete class on its own. Taking both offerings will provide you with instruction in all twelve stitch patterns.
