Beret with lattice cable pattern worked in worsted weight yarn. Pattern is given for three different styles to create a traditional fitted beret shape, a slouchy snood like shape, or a regular style somewhere in between the other two and similar to a traditional tam.
16 sts and 24 rows in st st = 4" / 10cm.
The ribbed band of the beret is very stretchy and should fit most women. The pattern is given for 3 styles: fitted, regular and slouchy. The style created depends upon the number of unshaped rows worked between the band and the crown shaping so there is no need to decide on the style before beginning.
